Meeting Julie Arkell

Finally my first post after travelling to Germany, the UK and Denmark. I still need for my pick-me-up coffee to make up for the time change.
Have you ever had the need for a good time...to just have a girl's long weekend in  London?  Workshop at Loop, exploring the city on foot, visiting museums, and spending time on a Saturday morning at the fleamarkets and perhaps even stopping to cheer on the two German soccer teams in the Champions League final. Co-ordinating the workshop in London took some time because Julie Arkell's classes are always sold out.
Julie Arkell, a paper maché artist  creates whimsical  creatures you want to embrace as a special friend close to your heart. Sounds odd, but just wait until you take some knitting needles and pieces of fabric and dress them up and stitch the word on that means something to you.

First we picked out our undressed person.

Julie with her everlasting smile working on a dress.

Here I am knitting my first hat. We had several instructions for hats, underwear, ears and skirts.

Our group of 7 flew in from Switzerland, Germany, Canada, United States and the UK.

Some extra long ears are sprouting.

Life is rich when spending time with friends.

I named my little woman Paisley Blue.

The sassy one!

Ready to visit the Buckingham Palace.
