Edgewalk on the CN Tower

You want to see Toronto from 356m or 1168ft high and walk the world's highest full circle handsfree rooftop you signed up for Toronto's most extreme attraction. The three of us, my son Max and his
girlfriend Morgan headed by subway to Union Station and walked to the CNTower. Toronto had a booming 33C degrees heat and our hands were already sweating by the unknown to come. We measured our heart rate with the iphone app and we clicked already a nervous 121.

....... and this is the edge where your feet ( toes) are on the ledge of the platform, your bud is sticking our, you straighten the legs and let the hands go from the harness and look down 1168ft.

The complete walk takes 30 minutes, the first 10 minutes our guide Margot ( amazing) makes us feel at ease buy pointing all the landmarks of Toronto. I must tell you I didn't get nothing, my only focus was to survive leaning over the edge. Toronto looked like legoland from above. The west/north side had strong winds which gives the edgewalk a whole different twist.

Leaning forward over the edge was not my favorite.

....... and at the end we thought it was a piece of cake hanging of the edge and goofing around.

We celebrated afterwards at the Steam Whistle (brewery) with cold pilsner. As you noticed I underlined afterwards the preparation for the edgewalk entails a breathalyzer test.
Our names are now added to the guinness world record  to have done the world highest full circle handsfree walk.

A dog's best friend

It just happened so, that the art girls and dogs got together for a play date in the country. Cruising the country dirt roads, taken photos, cooking good food and piling the kitchen table with our "craft projects on the go".

This mini quilt fits in the palm of my hand. I just thought the little snippets

of fabric were too cute to discard.

Letting go.....

Letting go to make room for new things and beginnings is easier said than done. I think we all pass that cross road during our life time to make decisions . I don't want to sound heavy but the cumulative effect it had, surprised me. There are moments that I think it was the right decision, moments of a lost opportunity, remorse, regret, maybe hope to find something better. Downsizing and re-organizing not an easy task to do!

Conversation Pieces

I am not a hard-core collector but browsing  with my friend  through yard sales , thrift  &  antique shops to  find "vintage cameras" it slowly rubbed off on me. Whatever pleases my eye I gravitate to it and when the price is right it will find the way home to the dismay of my husband. He is the total opposite - a declutterer, a no-nonsense man and organizer. He admits that some items I drag into the house  are a statement/ conversation piece - it makes a home who you are!

Last weekend I took photos of me holding these cameras, cradled like a baby in my hands.

I played with my digital camera shooting through the old lenses to capture some summer moments.

My Summer Quilt

After two weekends of sewing and gardening ten fat quarters and some extra fabric made this summer quilt.

I purchased the pattern on-line through Pink Chalk Fabric, it's called on a whim by Thimble Blossoms.

I placed the finished single fabric blocks on the lawn to figure out my colour arrangement.

This got all approved my our cat Lucky.
