July

31st !  The last day of July and I haven't updated my summer weeks. A sign that I was busy. Here are the highlights.

Summer camp at the workroom with Lizzy House

This is always fun, I did it last year and I signed up for the castle treasure quilt.
I am still working on it but one thing I know you need lots of space to lay it out.

First block done - coffee refuel

Lizzy gave us lots of moral support to keep us sewing and Jacqueline supplied flatter for the ironing station.

 The assembly.

Celebrating another year of happiness!

Cloud chasing and taking photos of saffron yellow canola fields.
I love photography and would like to learn so much more.

Flea market shopping with my friend Nancy

...and I finished a quilt for a young girl which was packed and on the plane last night!
I am so pleased  how it turned out and it was quilted by Heather from Campground Studio.

This was one of my favourite blocks and and the final show&tell in the field.

Sitting all these hours behind the sewing machine I was ready to spend a couple of days at Jack's Lake.

Living at the moment and taking it all in. Swimming, canoeing and enjoying good company.

                                                                                                                        XOXO

  1. Love that quilt with the octagon blocks! You are so productive! I read 9 novels in July -- maybe that is productive too :)
