This vintage CP Rail soup cup and saucer I discovered with lots of other grunge tools in a lane way.
I love to see my blue glass "ball" jars. They filled with buttons, acorns, stones and chestnuts.
Bleached branches are ready for art projects.
Guess what that is? Send me your answer. This will be filled with "finger-licking" crochet goodies.
I often pick up things for free. This is a heavy metal antique filing cabinet from an old pipe factory.
A stash of old egg baskets I keep in my shed with lots of rusty findings.
The next project to come, my homemade Moleskin journals.

i think we need another day in clarence!!!
ReplyDeletei'll start crocheting soon!
I like those things too!
ReplyDeleteI think we're looking at bedsprings here. By the way, I love the vintage soup cup and saucer. Wish I had the gene for locating amazing stuff like that. (At least I have friends that do and post photos).
ReplyDeleteDear Ludgera, I love your blog and the gorgeous bag you made with Dove of the East papers for Carmi as a sample in her booth! I have linked her pix and your blog to my new blog, doveen.com! It was thrilling for me to see how you made such a gorgeous bag and made it both funky and elegant too! I was visiting Germany when I saw it and got inspired by your oh sooo cute felt acorns and bought some felt to make beads while I was there. Thanks for the tips on the Olive oil soap! Your pix are beautiful! I think the cool rusty thing could be a bedspring or an icecream holder for cones while getting sprinkled;-) Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration! all the best, Doveen, Dove of the East
ReplyDeleteIs it an old milk bottle carrier? I am old enough to remember when we actually had milkmen that delivered milk in bottles, right to the door. There were little two-way doors at the back of houses. In went the milk from the outside and out it came on the inside! Whatever it is, it's great metal!
ReplyDeleteWell ... I am younger than Leslie and I remember the milkman delivering milk too! I think Leslie is right, but I'll go with my first thought, which was a holder for custard cups (to be used when baking custards in a water bath). But I bet I'm wrong!

Hi Lennie,
ReplyDeleteafter discussing these metal springs with Leslie I reminded her standing on her toes to get her ice cream cone from the counter. Yes, it's a vintage cone holder. Since we both haven't passed the pot holder crochet challenge we are endeavour a wooley bakery/cafe. So you are in with the custard cups. For sure I will post this cone holder when filled.
P.S. I signed up for a crochet class at The Knit Cafe.
A vintage cone holder! I've never seen one before; so cool :-)
